Electrophoretic coating is an advanced technology where the painted object is immersed in water-soluble paint, acting as the anode in anodic electrophoresis. A corresponding cathode is established, and a direct current is applied between the electrodes. This causes the paint to coat the object uniformly through the physical and chemical effects of the current.
The process flow of electrophoretic coating on general metal surfaces includes several meticulous stages: Pre-cleaning → On-line positioning → Oil removal → Washing → Rust removal → Washing → Neutralization → Washing → Phosphating → Washing → Passivation → Electrophoretic coating → Tank cleaning → Ultrafiltration → Drying → Off-line.
